Research on Ancient Chinese Civilization

Prof. Keightley continues to serve as one of the editors of the journal Early China and as a member of the advisory Committee of the Society for Asian Art in San Francisco. He has continued his research into the origins of Chinese political culture, based on the oracle-bone inscriptions (ca. 1200-1050 B.C.), and is currently writing a chapter, "Shang China", for the Cambridge History of Ancient China.
